Then it's onto the airship, which probably looks like a ship in the air (???) and doesn't have the oblong shape of those from her own world. These are honestly nicer, all things told. Or more scenic. Less liable to explode? )

But yes, airship. Not that she has any idea what they should or should not look like, she was just getting used to seeing the sun and such things back home when she got here... So things in the sky that aren't birds?

Amazing. She might even be trying to find a spot where they can have the best view while the airship flies.]

( The real question is if they can get up that mast because Annie has no fear of heights and Mew Mew is on a mission. Climb, climb, ladies!

Regardless, they do make the journey back to the air station by the central apartments and Welcome Center safely. Somehow, despite the getting lost in the Underground Mall, they have Succeded In Their Goals. Very normally. )

[Probably not, which might get a pout out of Mew Mew when they are denied. But aside from that! A pretty normal trip.

Mew Mew happily gets down to the ground from the air station, and looks at Annie with a big old grin on her face.]

This has been a lot of fun. I've never had a friend to do this kind of stuff with! So, um, thanks Annie.

( Annie feels a little light, and looks more relaxed. She's not quite smiling, but her resting face tends toward neutral, and she's not tense, so that counts as something positive, right? )

... You're welcome, Mew Mew. I... haven't exactly had a lot of friends either.

( At least not many she can be fully honest with. There's a difference when she doesn't need to hide everything about her history, but instead can choose to do so: and the fact she doesn't imagine living where she has to kill anyone around her at any time anymore. It's freeing. )

And my closest one I was particularly bad at being a friend for.

( Hitch... probably counts. Reiner and Bertholdt are a whole different mess, and also friends. It's just a little different, for all she can't really quantify why. )

[Said with the cluelessness of all the baggage Annie has, but also being so damned earnest on Mew Mew's end. Because while she would have considered Undyne a friend, she wasn't really. She didn't even know Mew Mew, at the time Mad Dummy, even existed.]
